Pursuant to a suspension of the 5-day posting rule and an announcement made from the floor on February 5, 2007, the House Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Health & Human Services met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Davis, John, at 8:35 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Davis, John; Hopson; Jackson, Jim; Zerwas (4).

 

Absent:              Representatives Gattis; Dukes (2).

 

A quorum was present.

At 9:22 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until 1 hour after adjournment.

 

The committee reconvened at 1:47 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Davis, John. The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Davis, John; Gattis; Hopson; Jackson, Jim; Zerwas (5).

 

Absent:              Representative Dukes (1).

 

A quorum was present.
