Pursuant to a notice posted on February 2, 2007, the House Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Education met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Kolkhorst, at 8:17 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Kolkhorst; Branch; Crownover; McClendon; Otto (5).

 

Absent:              Representative Brown, Fred (1).

 

A quorum was present.

At 9:59 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until 4:00 p.m., February 8, 2007.

 

The committee reconvened at 4:21 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Kolkhorst. The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Kolkhorst; Crownover; McClendon; Otto (4).

 

Absent:              Representatives Branch; Brown, Fred (2).

 

A quorum was present.
