Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on March 12, 2007, and a suspension of the House Rules for permission to meet during reading and referral of bills, the House Committee on Agriculture & Livestock met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Miller, at 3:31 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Miller; Anderson; Brown, Betty; Aycock; Gallego; Garcia; Heflin (7).

 

Absent:              None (0).

 

A quorum was present.

 

HB 461

 

The chair laid out HB 461 as pending business.

 

Representative Miller offered a complete committee substitute.

The chair recognized Representative Miller to explain the measure.

 

The committee substitute was withdrawn without objection.

 

 The chair moved that HB 461, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Miller; Anderson; Brown, Betty; Aycock; Gallego; Garcia; Heflin (7).

 

Nays:                             None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

 

Absent:                          None  (0).

 

At 3:40 p.m., on the motion of Representative Aycock and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
