Pursuant to a notice posted on February 15, 2007, the House Committee on Agriculture & Livestock met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Miller, at 8:11 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Miller; Anderson; Aycock; Gallego; Heflin (5).

 

Absent:              Representatives Brown, Betty; Garcia (2).

 

A quorum was present.

 

Invited Testimony

The Texas Department of Agriculture gave invited testimony about their agency.

The chair laid out HCR 67.

 

The chair recognized Representative Leibowitz to explain the measure.

 

The chair recognized Representative Leibowitz to close on the measure.

 

The bill was left pending without objection.
