Pursuant to a notice posted on February 8, 2007, the House Committee on Agriculture & Livestock met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Miller, at 8:00 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Miller; Anderson; Brown, Betty; Heflin (4).

 

Absent:              Representatives Aycock; Gallego; Garcia (3).

 

A quorum was present.

 

The Chair made opening remarks and welcomed new members to the committee.

(Representative Gallego now present.)

 

Invited testimony was taken from certain state agencies under the committee's jurisdiction.  (See attached witness list.)

 

At 9:45 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
