AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to information and training for public school educators in |
|
|
the prevention of child abuse. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 38.004, Education Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: |
|
|
(a-1) The agency shall: |
|
|
(1) maintain on the agency Internet website a list of |
|
|
links to websites that provide information regarding the prevention |
|
|
of child abuse; and |
|
|
(2) develop and periodically update a training program |
|
|
on prevention of child abuse that a school district may use for |
|
|
staff development. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
