AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to exemptions from certain fees for government vessels and |
|
|
outboard motors. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter B-1, Chapter 31, Parks and Wildlife |
|
|
Code, is amended by adding Section 31.056 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 31.056. FEE EXEMPTION FOR GOVERNMENT VESSELS AND |
|
|
OUTBOARD MOTORS. A fee imposed by this chapter does not apply to a |
|
|
vessel or outboard motor purchased by, owned by, or used |
|
|
exclusively in the service of this state, a political subdivision |
|
|
of this state, or the federal government. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
