  S.B. No. 606
 
 
 
 
AN ACT
  relating to the disclosure of the name of a student or minor who is a
  victim of abuse or unlawful conduct by an educator.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 21.006, Education Code, is amended by
  adding Subsection (h) to read as follows:
         (h)  The name of a student or minor who is the victim of abuse
  or unlawful conduct by an educator must be included in a report
  filed under this section, but the name of the student or minor is
  not public information under Chapter 552, Government Code.
         SECTION 2.  This Act applies beginning with the 2007-2008
  school year.
         SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
  a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
  provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
  Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
  Act takes effect September 1, 2007.
