  S.B. No. 470
 
 
 
 
AN ACT
  relating to the submission of uniform financial reports.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 2101.012, Government Code, is amended by
  amending Subsection (a) and adding Subsection (d) to read as
  follows:
         (a)  The comptroller shall prescribe uniform accounting and
  financial reporting procedures that each state agency shall use in
  the preparation of the information requested under Section
  2101.011.  The procedures may include procedures that prescribe a
  uniform format for and a uniform method of reporting the financial
  information included in the annual financial report.
         (d)  The comptroller may adopt rules to implement this
  section.
         SECTION 2.  Section 2101.035, Government Code, is amended by
  adding Subsection (h) to read as follows:
         (h)  State agencies shall report expenditures in the uniform
  manner required by the comptroller.
         SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
  a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
  provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
  Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
  Act takes effect September 1, 2007.
