R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The year 2007 marks the 25th anniversary of the
  founding of Miller Elementary School in Arlington, and this
  milestone offers an ideal opportunity to reflect on this beloved
  institution's importance to the community; and
         WHEREAS, Named in honor of longtime Arlington ISD educator
  Lillian Willis-Miller, Miller Elementary School was founded in
  1981, and through the years it has distinguished itself by
  promoting outstanding academic achievement; today, students
  continue to benefit from the exceptional learning environment
  created for them by the school's dedicated teachers and
  administrators; and
         WHEREAS, The campus has also kept pace with the changing
  needs of the community it serves, dedicating four classrooms to
  meeting the needs of deaf and hearing-impaired students; and
         WHEREAS, Fortunate to have an active Parent Teacher
  Association, Miller Elementary is able to support a number of
  programs, field trips, activities, and beautification projects
  with the assistance of the organization; most recently, PTA funds
  helped the school add a new four-lane track, and this important
  resource will benefit countless students in the years to come; and
         WHEREAS, This public-spirited initiative is characteristic
  of the school's approach to enhancing its students' education to the
  greatest extent possible, and its administrators and staff may
  indeed look to the future with optimism and anticipation as they
  prepare to meet the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby commemorate the 25th anniversary of the founding
  of Miller Elementary School in Arlington and extend to all those
  connected with the school sincere best wishes for continued
  success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Miller Elementary School as an expression of high
  regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
