H.R. No. 1408

	R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Andrew Bauer, principal of Poteet High School, has
	been named the 2007 Secondary Principal of the Year by the Mesquite
	Independent School District; and
	WHEREAS, A graduate of Sam Houston State University,
	Mr. Bauer received his master's degree from Texas A&M
	University-Commerce; his first job was with Spring ISD, where he
	taught English and coached baseball; his work for Mesquite ISD
	began when he took a job at North Mesquite High School, and he later
	was employed at McDonald Middle School before moving to Maurine
	Cain Middle School in Rockwall; he returned to Mesquite to serve as
	assistant principal at McDonald Middle School, and in 2005 he
	became principal of Poteet High School; and
	WHEREAS, With the love and support of his wife and fellow
	educator, Cathy, and his daughter, Kaitlyn, Mr. Bauer has
	established himself as an indispensable asset to the Mesquite
	community; as a teacher and administrator of great dedication, he
	has been a positive influence for countless students, and it is a
	pleasure to honor him for his accomplishments; now, therefore, be
	it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
	Legislature hereby congratulate Andrew Bauer for being named the
	Mesquite Independent School District 2007 Secondary Principal of
	the Year and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
	success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for Mr. Bauer as an expression of high regard by the Texas
	House of Representatives.
