R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Darrell Coleman of Wichita Falls has been honored |
|
|
with the 2006 Pat Taggart Award for Texas Newspaper Leader of the |
|
|
Year; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This prestigious accolade honors news executives |
|
|
who not only provide able leadership to their paper but who also |
|
|
contribute to the vitality of their communities and the overall |
|
|
newspaper industry; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The president and publisher of the Times Record News |
|
|
in Wichita Falls, Mr. Coleman has demonstrated outstanding |
|
|
professionalism in all of his endeavors and given of his noted |
|
|
leadership skills to organizations ranging from Sheppard Air Force |
|
|
Base to Midwestern State University to North Texas Area United Way; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A most deserving recipient of this honor, Mr. |
|
|
Coleman is a source of pride to his community and state; he |
|
|
continues to set an example of excellence for his peers in the |
|
|
newspaper business, and it is a pleasure to recognize him at this |
|
|
time; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Darrell Coleman on his receipt of |
|
|
the 2006 Pat Taggart Award for Texas Newspaper Leader of the Year |
|
|
and extend to him best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Coleman as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
