AN ACT
  relating to video equipment on a motor vehicle.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 547.611(a), Transportation Code, is
  amended to read as follows:
         (a)  A motor vehicle may be equipped with video receiving
  equipment, including a television, a digital video disc player, a
  videocassette player, or similar equipment, only if the equipment
  is located so that the video display is not visible from the
  operator's seat unless the vehicle's transmission is in park or the
  vehicle's parking brake is applied.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
  a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
  provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
  Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
  Act takes effect September 1, 2007.
