Relating to the transfer of certain state property from the Texas
Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation to Spindletop
MHMR Services.

Relating to a grant program to encourage investment of federal
earned income tax credit funds.

Relating to quality improvement activities for certain subsidized
child-care services.

Relating to the creation of an economic development plan for local
communities affected by the closure or change in operation of a
state school or hospital.

Relating to procedures to ensure the involvement of parents or
guardians of children placed in certain institutions.

Relating to supplemental financial assistance for certain primary
caretakers of a dependent child.

HB 2790            Veasey
Relating to a subsidized guardianship program to provide financial
subsidies to certain grandparents.

HB 1867            Naishtat
Relating to the transfer of money appropriated to provide care for
certain persons in nursing facilities to provide community-based
services to those persons.

HB 2449            Naishtat
Relating to a pilot program for transferring money appropriated to
provide institutional care for certain persons to provide
community-based services to those persons.

SB 48            Nelson
Relating to reporting requirements for convalescent and nursing
homes and related institutions.



The Committee will stand in recess while the House is in session, and
reconvene upon adjournment to hear remaining bills on the agenda.

Bills will not necessarily be taken up in the order specified above,
depending upon the availability of bill authors.

Note:  The House will be considering major legislation during the week of
April 4 which may affect the scheduling of, or length of time available
for, this hearing.
