         Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule  
         11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Windstorm  
         Coverage & Budget Impact (Interim) was held on Wednesday, June  
         28, 2006, in the Texas A&M - Galveston, MERC Bldg.

         The chair called the meeting to order at 1:10 p.m.  There being  
         a quorum present, the following business was transacted:   
          
         The committee adopted interim rules. The following two  
         individuals presented invited testimony: Mike Geeslin,  
         Commissioner of Insurance, testified before the committee and  
         was joined by Jim Oliver, General Manager of Texas Windstorm  
         Insurance Association. The committee then heard public testimony  
         over interim charges 1, 4 and 5.   
          
         At 4:12 p.m. Chairman Smithee assumed the chair. At 4:21 p.m.  
         Chairman Jackson resumed the chair.  
          
         There being no further business, at 4:44 p.m. Chairman Smithee  
         moved that the committee stand recessed subject to the call of  
         the Co-chairs.  Without objection, it was ordered.
