11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Health &
Human Services was held on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, in the Senate
Chamber at Austin, Texas.

The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. The
following business was transacted:
The Chair welcomed Committee members and gave opening remarks.
The Chair opened the floor to invited testimony on charges #3
and #4. The Chair moved that invited testimony be closed;
without objection, it was so ordered.
The Chair opened the floor to public testimony on charges #3 and
#4.
At 12:05 p.m. Senator Deuell moved that the Committee stand
recessed until 1:00 p.m; without objection, it was so ordered.
At 1:06 p.m. the Committee reconvened.
The Chair moved that public testimony on charges #3 and #4 be
closed; without objection, it was so ordered.
Witnesses testifying and registering on charges #3 and #4 are
shown on the attached list.
The Chair opened the floor to invited testimony on charge #7.
The Chair moved that invited testimony be closed; without
objection, it was so ordered.
The Chair opened the floor to public testimony on charge #7.
The Chair moved that public testimony be closed; without
objection, it was so ordered.
Witnesses testifying on charge #7 are shown on the attached
list.
There being no further business, at 2:50 p.m., Senator Nelson
moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of
the Chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
