         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 4, 2006,  
         the House Committee on Ways & Means met in a formal meeting and  
         was called to order by the chair, Representative Keffer, Jim, at  
         12:03 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                    Smithee; Woolley (5). 
          
         Absent:    Representatives Villarreal; Luna; Paxton; Ritter (4). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HB 72 
          
         The chair laid out HB 72 as pending business.  
          
         Representative Smithee offered a complete committee substitute.  
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Smithee moved that HB 72, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:           Representatives Keffer, Jim; Edwards;  
                         Grusendorf; Smithee; Woolley (5). 
          
         Nays:           None (0). 
          
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

         The chair laid out HJR 26 as pending business.  
          
         Representative Edwards offered a complete committee substitute.  
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Edwards moved that HJR 26, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
