         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 26,  
         2005, the House Committee on Transportation met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Krusee, at 5:49 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:   Representatives Krusee; Hamric; Casteel; Hill; West,  
                    George "Buddy" (5). 
          
         Absent:    Representatives Phillips; Callegari; Deshotel; Flores  
                    (4). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HB 988 
          
         Representative Hamric moved to reconsider the vote by which the  
         measure, as substituted, was reported from committee, and sent  
         to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion to  
         reconsider prevailed without objection.  
          
         Representative Hamric moved that HB 988, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:           Representatives Krusee; Hamric; Casteel; Hill;  
                         West, George "Buddy" (5). 
          
         Nays:           None (0). 
          
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0). 
          
         Absent:         Representatives Phillips; Callegari; Deshotel;

         Representative Callegari moved to reconsider the vote by which  
         the measure, as substituted, was reported from committee. The  
         motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.  
          
         The chair moved to reconsider the vote by which the committee  
         substitute was adopted.  The motion to reconsider prevailed  
         without objection. 
 
          The chair moved that the substitute to the measure be withdrawn. 
          
         The committee substitute was withdrawn without objection. 
          
         Representative Callegari moved that HB 1741, without amendments,  
         be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on  
         Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:
