Pursuant to a notice posted on February 10, 2005, the House
Committee on Transportation met in a public hearing and was
called to order by the chair, Representative Krusee, at 8:12
a.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Krusee; Phillips; Casteel; Deshotel;
Flores (5).
Absent: Representatives Hamric; Callegari; Hill; West, George
"Buddy" (4).
A quorum was present.
Testimony was taken from the Texas Department of Transportation.

HB 160
The chair laid out HB 160 as pending business.
Representative Deshotel offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Deshotel moved that HB 160, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Krusee; Phillips; Callegari;
Casteel; Deshotel; West, George "Buddy" (6).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Hamric; Flores; Hill (3).
At 9:52 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was recessed until 10:30 a.m., or upon final
adjournment of the House of Representatives, February 15, 2005.
The committee reconvened at 11:49 a.m. and was called to order
by the chair, Representative Krusee. The roll was answered as
follows:
