         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 19,  
         2005, the House Committee on Public Health met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the acting chair,  
         Representative Laubenberg at 11:56 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:   Representatives Laubenberg; Truitt; Dawson; Jackson,  
                    Jim; McReynolds; Solis; Zedler (7). 
          
         Absent:    Representatives Delisi; Coleman (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         SB 609 
          
         The chair moved to reconsider the vote by which SB 609 was  
         recommended to be reported out of committee.  The motion to  
         reconsider prevailed without objection. 
          
         The chair laid out SB 609. 
          
         Representative Jackson, Jim moved that SB 609, without  
         amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the  
         recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the  
         Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed  
         by the following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:           Representatives Laubenberg; Truitt; Dawson;  
                         Jackson, Jim; McReynolds; Solis; Zedler (7). 
          
         Nays:           None (0). 
          
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0). 
          
         Absent:         Representatives Delisi; Coleman  (2). 
          
         At 12:03 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
