         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 29, 2005, the House  
         Committee on Pensions & Investments met in a public hearing and  
         was called to order by the chair, Representative Eiland, at 8:06  
         a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         Absent:    Representative McClendon (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HB2568 
          
         The chair laid out HB2568 as pending business. 
          
         Representative Flynn offered a complete committee substitute.  
          
         The chair, Representative Eiland, explained the measure.  
          
         (Representative McClendon now present.) 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         The committee substitute was withdrawn without objection. 
          
         The bill was left pending without objection.  
          
         The committee stood at ease at 8:37a.m. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 8:57a.m. 
          
         SB1088 
          
         The chair laid out SB1088, the companion to HB2374. 
          
         The chair recognized Representative McClendon to explain the  
         measure.  
          
         Representative Straus moved that SB1088, without amendments, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on  
         Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:           Representatives Eiland; Flynn; McClendon;  
 
                                         Griggs; Krusee; Rodriguez; Straus (7). 
           
         Nays:           None (0).

         The chair laid out HB2568 as pending business.
