         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 19,  
         2005, the House Committee on Local Government Ways & Means met  
         in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair,

         The chair laid out SB 1351. 
          
         Representative Puente moved that SB 1351, without amendments, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on  
         Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:

                         Quintanilla; Uresti (5). 
          
         Nays:           None (0).

         The chair laid out SB 1652. 
          
         Representative Hill offered an amendment to the measure.  
          
         The amendment was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Quintanilla moved that SB 1652, as amended, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on  
         Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the
