         Pursuant to a notice posted on August 12, 2005, the House  
         Committee on Public Education Reform, Select met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Grusendorf, at 1:05 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:   Representatives Grusendorf; Eissler; Branch; Delisi  
                    (4). 
          
         Absent:    Representative Keffer, Bill (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         SB 8 
          
         The chair laid out SB 8. 
          
         Representative Grusendorf offered a complete committee  
         substitute.  
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Delisi moved that SB 8, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:

                         Delisi (4). 
          
         Nays:           None (0).

         Representative Eissler moved that HB 8, without amendments, be  
          reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
