Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 5,
2005, the House Committee on Insurance met in a formal meeting
and was called to order by the chair, Representative Smithee, at
12:10 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Smithee; Seaman; Eiland; Keffer,
Bill; Taylor; Thompson (6).
Absent: Representatives Isett; Oliveira; Van Arsdale (3).
A quorum was present.
HB 1018
The chair laid out HB 1018 as pending business. Representative
Eiland offered a complete committee substitute. The committee
substitute was adopted without objection. Representative Seaman
moved that HB 1018, as substituted, be reported favorably to the
full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be
printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent
Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Smithee; Seaman; Eiland; Keffer,
Bill; Taylor; Thompson (6).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Isett; Oliveira; Van Arsdale
(3).
HB 1602
The chair laid out HB 1602. Representative Seaman moved that HB
1602, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full
house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and
be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The
motion prevailed by the following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Smithee; Seaman; Eiland; Keffer,
Bill; Taylor (5).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Isett; Oliveira; Thompson; Van
Arsdale (4).
At 12:14 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of
the chair.
