         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 30, 2005 and revised on  
         April 4, 2005, the House Committee on Corrections met in a  
         public hearing and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Madden, at 2:05 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         Absent:    Representatives Hochberg; McReynolds (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         The chair recognized Representative Madden to explain the  
         measure.

         The chair recognized Representative Madden to close on the  
         measure.  
          
         The bill was left pending without objection.  
          
         HB 3072, HB 2838 
          
         (Representative Madden in chair.) 
          
         The chair laid out HB 3072, HB 2838. 
          
         The chair recognized Representative Turner to explain HB 3072.  
          
         Representative Jones, Delwin offered a complete committee  
         substitute.  
          
         The chair recognized Representative Allen, Ray to explain the HB  
         2838. 
          
         Representative Allen, Ray offered an amendment to the measure.  
           
         Testimony was taken on HB 3072 and HB 2838 (See attached witness  
         list.) 
          
         The committee substitute to HB 3072 was withdrawn without  
         objection. 
          
         The amendment to HB 2838 was withdrawn without objection. 
          
         The chair recognized Representative Allen, Ray to close on the  
         HB 3072 and HB 2838. 
          
         HB 3072 and HB 2838 were left pending without objection. 
          
         At 5:40 p.m., on the motion of Representative Haggerty, Pat and  
         without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call
