         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 25, 2006, the House  
         Committee on Civil Practices met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the chair, Representative Nixon, at 11:40  
         a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                    Raymond; Strama; Woolley (7). 
          
         Absent:    Representatives Martinez Fischer; Talton (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 2:35 p.m., on the motion of Representative Raymond and  
         without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call  
         of the chair.
