Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 13,
2005, the House Committee on Civil Practices met in a formal
meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative
Nixon, at 3:23 p.m.

The chair laid out SB 890.
The chair offered and explained a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Rose moved that SB 890, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:

Fischer; Talton (5).
Nays: None (0).

reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on
Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the
