         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 22, 2005, the House  
         Committee on Redistricting met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the chair, Representative Crabb, at 11:35  
         a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:   Representatives Crabb; Cook, Robby; Hopson; Jackson,  
                    Jim; Morrison; Orr; Talton; West, George "Buddy" (8). 
          
         Absent:    Representatives Corte; Deshotel; Flores; King, Phil;  
                    Krusee; McClendon; Rodriguez (7). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HB 1077 
          
         The chair laid out HB 1077. 
          
         Representative Crabb offered a complete committee substitute.  
          
         Representative Crabb explained the measure.

         Representative Crabb closed on the measure.  
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

         Representative Robby Cook moved that HB 1077, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:
