         Pursuant to an announcement from the House floor on May 3, 2005,  
         the House Committee on Business & Industry met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Giddings, at 12:12 p.m.

         SENATE BILL No. 99 
          
         The chair laid out SB 99. 
          
         As the House sponsor of SB 99, the chair explained the measure. 
          
         Representative Solomons moved that SB 99, without amendments, be  
         reported favorably to the full House with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:           Representatives Giddings; Elkins; Martinez;  
                         Bailey; Bohac; Solomons; Vo; Zedler (8). 
          
         Nays:           None (0). 
          
         Present, Not Voting:     None (0). 
          
         Absent:         Representative Taylor (1). 
          
         At 12:16 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
