         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 12, 2006, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Criminal Justice met in a  
         public hearing to discuss Interim Charges #1 and #7, and was  
         called to order by the chair, Representative Turner, at 9:06  
         a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         Absent:    Representatives Haggerty; Hope (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 9:59 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until 10 minutes after final  
         adjournment of the House.
