         Pursuant to a notice posted and revised on February 22, 2005,  
         the House Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Education met in a  
         formal meeting and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Kolkhorst, at 1:55 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:   Representatives Kolkhorst; Branch; Crownover;  
                    Guillen; McClendon; Smith, Todd (6). 
          
         Absent:    None (0). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         At 3:12 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until 3:30 p.m., February 23, 2005. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 3:36 p.m. and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Kolkhorst. The roll was answered as  
         follows: 
          
         Present:   Representatives Kolkhorst; Branch; Guillen; McClendon  
                    (4). 
          
         Absent:    Representatives Crownover; Smith, Todd (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         At 4:50 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned until the adjournment of the  
         Appropriations Committee public hearing on February 24, 2005.
