                                                                  S.B. No. 1435




AN ACT

relating to the numbering of emergency services districts converted 
from rural fire prevention districts.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Subsection (b), Section 775.026, Health and 
Safety Code, is amended to read as follows:
	(b)  The name of a district converted under this section is 
changed to "___ Emergency Services District No. ___," with the name 
of the county or counties in which the district is located and an 
appropriate [the proper consecutive] number inserted to 
distinguish one district from another district.
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
