H.B. No. 943
AN ACT
relating to evidence establishing ownership of a vessel for a
certificate of title issued by the Parks and Wildlife Department.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 31.047, Parks and Wildlife Code, is
amended by adding Subsection (g) to read as follows:
(g) If administration of an estate is not required by law,
an affidavit submitted under Subsection (c) must include:
(1) a showing that the administration is not required;
(2) identification of all heirs; and
(3) a statement by the heirs of the name in which to
issue the certificate.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
