Amend CSHB 1 in SECTION 5.01 of the bill, in added Section 

28.008, Education Code (page 45, between lines 20 and 21), by 

inserting a new Subsection (e) to read as follows and relettering 

subsequent subsections of that section accordingly:

	(e)  Notwithstanding any other provision of this section, 

the State Board of Education retains its authority under Section 

28.002 concerning the required curriculum.
