         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 8,  
         2003, the House Committee on Rules & Resolutions met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Edwards, at 1:29 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         Representative Hughes moved to place the following measures on  
         the Congratulatory and Memorial Resolutions Calendar for

         The chair also asked all committee members to try to keep all  
         house members in their seats during the reading of the Rules and  
         Resolutions calendar, in order to lessen the commotion of  
         everyone moving around. 
          
         At 1:30 p.m., on the motion of Representative Bohac and without  
         objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the  
         chair.
