         On April 1, 2003, the House Committee on State Cultural and  
         Recreational Resources authorized the correction of the  minutes  
         for the meeting of the House Committee on State Cultural and  
         Recreational Resources held on March 18, 2003. The following are  
         the corrected minutes for that meeting: 
          
         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 13, 2003, the House  
         Committee on State Cultural and Recreational Resources met in a  
         public hearing and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Hilderbran, at 2:03 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Hilderbran; Geren; Cook, Byron;  
                   Phillips (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Dukes; Bailey; Kuempel (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HB 1770 
          
         The chair laid out HB 1770. 
          
         The chair recognized Representative Keel to explain the measure.  
          
         (Representative Kuempel now present.) 
          
         Representative Hilderbran offered a complete committee  
         substitute. 
          
         (Representative Bailey now present.) 
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         The chair recognized Representative Keel to close on the  
         measure.  
         The bill was left pending without objection.

         The chair laid out HCR 34. 
  
         The chair recognized Representative Hopson to explain the  
         measure.  
          
         Representative Cook, Byron offered a complete committee  
         substitute.  
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

         The chair recognized Representative Hopson to close on the  
         measure.  
          
         The bill was left pending without objection.

         The chair laid out HB 305. 
          
         The chair recognized Representative Puente to explain the  
         measure.  
          
         Representative Geren offered a complete committee substitute.

         The chair laid out HCR 34 as pending business.  
          
         Representative Cook, Byron moved that HCR 34, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on  
         Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:               Representatives Hilderbran; Geren; Cook,  
                             Byron; Phillips (4).  
           
         Nays:               None (0).  
           
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).  
           
         Absent:        Representatives Dukes; Bailey; Kuempel  (3).
