         Pursuant to a notice posted on May 5, 2004, the House Committee  
         on Regulated Industries met in a public hearing and was called  
         to order by the chair, Representative King, at 11:14 a.m. 
                                        
         The roll was answered as follows:

         Absent:   Representatives Turner; Guillen; Wolens (3). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         The chair, Representative King, called the committee to order at  
         1:20 p.m.

         The chair named the following members to the subcommittee on  
         interim charge 3: Representative Baxter, Chair; Representatives  
         Crabb and Guillen. 
          
         At 4:31 p.m., on the motion of Representative Hunter and without  
         objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the
