         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on March 31,  
         2003, the House Committee on Regulated Industries met in a  
         public hearing and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative King, at 11:52 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives King; Hunter; Baxter; Crabb (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Turner; Guillen; Wolens (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HB 730 
          
         The chair laid out HB 730 as pending business.  
          
         Representative King offered a complete committee substitute.  
          
         (Representative Guillen now present.) 
          
         (Representative Wolens now present.) 
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Baxter moved that HB 730, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:               Representatives King; Hunter; Baxter; Crabb;  
                             Guillen (5).  
           
         Nays:               Representative Wolens (1).  
           
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).  
           
         Absent:        Representative Turner  (1).  
           
         At 11:57 a.m., on the motion of Representative Guillen and  
         without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call  
         of the chair.
