         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 15,  
         2003, the House Committee on Public Health met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Capelo, at 1:36 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Capelo; Laubenberg; Truitt; Dawson;  
                   McReynolds; Naishtat; Taylor; Zedler (8). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Coleman (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HB 3162 
          
         The chair laid out HB 3162 as pending business.  
          
         Representative Zedler offered a complete committee substitute.  
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Zedler moved that HB 3162, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:               Representatives Capelo; Laubenberg; Truitt;  
                             Dawson; McReynolds; Naishtat; Taylor; Zedler  
                             (8).  
           
         Nays:               None (0).  
           
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

         At 1:39 a.m., on the motion of Representative Taylor and without  
         objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the  
         chair.
