         Committee on Pensions & Investments met in a public hearing and  
         was called to order by the chair, Representative Ritter, at 8:34  
         a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                   Rose (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives McClendon; Grusendorf; Pena (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The chair directed that the March 31, 2003, minutes for the  
         House Committee on Pensions & Investments be corrected. The  
         corrected minutes were authorized without objection.

         The chair laid out HB 2210 and  HB 3224. 
          
         The bills were left pending without objection.

         The chair laid out HB 3051. 
          
         The chair recognized Representative Hunter to explain the  
         measure.
