         Upon final adjourn./recess 
         House Chamber, Desk No. 1 
          
         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 24,  
         2003, the House Committee on Corrections met in a formal meeting  
         and was called to order by the chair, Representative Allen, at  
         7:45 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Allen; Hopson; Stick; Mabry (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Alonzo; Farrar; Haggerty (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HB 1715 
          
         The chair laid out HB 1715 as pending business.  
          
         Representative Hopson offered a complete committee substitute.  
          
         (Representative Farrar now present.) 
          
         (Representative Alonzo now present.) 
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Hopson moved that HB 1715, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:               Representatives Allen; Hopson; Stick;  
                             Alonzo; Farrar; Mabry (6).  
           
         Nays:               None (0).  
           
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).  
           
         Absent:        Representative Haggerty  (1).  
           
         At 7:55 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
