         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 3, 2004,  
         the House Committee on Calendars met in a formal meeting and was  
         called to order by the chair, Representative Woolley, at 10:41  
         a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         Absent:   Representatives Turner; Wohlgemuth (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The chair moved to reconsider the vote by which measures, HB 1  
         and HJR1, were placed on the Tuesday, May 4, 2004 Calendar.  
          
         Seconded by Representative Seaman. 
          
         The motion prevailed by the following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:               Representatives Woolley; Seaman; Christian;  
                             Hupp; Madden; Truitt (6).  
           
         Nays:               Representatives Luna; Menendez; Telford (3).  
           
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).  
           
         Absent:        Representatives Turner; Wohlgemuth  (2).  
          
         Representative Woolley moved to place the following measures:  
         on the Major State Calendar for Tuesday, May 4, 2004:  HB1; and  
          
         on the Constitutional Amendments Calendar for  Tuesday, May 4,  
         2004:  HJR1.  
          
         Seconded by Representative Madden. 
          
         The motion prevailed by the following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:               Representatives Woolley; Seaman; Christian;  
                             Hupp; Madden; Truitt (6).  
           
         Nays:               Representatives Luna; Menendez; Telford (3).  
           
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).  
           
         Absent:        Representatives Turner; Wohlgemuth  (2).  
           
         At 10:44 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
