         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 9, 2003, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations met in a work session and was called  
         to order by the chair, Representative Heflin, at 7:47 p.m.

         A quorum was present. 
          
         The Committee met for refreshments and conversation. 
          
         At 8:31 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned until 8:00 a.m., April 10, 2003.
