         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 13, 2003, and to the  
         suspension of the regular order of business, House Rule 4,  
         Section 9, committees were granted permission to meet during  
         reading and referral of bills and a further announcement from  
         the House floor was made for the committee to meet in the  
         Speaker's Committee Room, the House Committee on Agriculture &  
         Livestock met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the  
         chair, Representative Hardcastle, at 3:35 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Hardcastle; Brown, Betty; Burnam;  
                   Swinford (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Miller; Jones, Delwin; Laney (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         CSHB 1119 
          
         The chair laid out CSHB 1119 as pending business.  
          
         Representative Swinford moved that HB 1119, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:               Representatives Hardcastle; Brown, Betty;  
                             Burnam; Swinford (4).  
           
         Nays:               None (0).  
           
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).  
           
         Absent:        Representatives Miller; Jones, Delwin; Laney   
                        (3).  
          
         At 3:40 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
