IN RE:
HB2661 by Puente (Relating to the use of graywater.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would define graywater and set standards for graywater use.  The bill would require the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to adopt rules by January 1, 2004 which include use of graywater for agricultural, domestic, and commercial purposes. Graywater permitting under certain conditions would be prohibited. Additionally, the bill removes the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners from the rulemaking process involving graywater. Neither agency expects any signifcant fiscal impact.
