Amend CSHB 3588 as follows:                                                  
	(1)  On page 12, line 23, strike "under Section 227.042" and 
substitute "pursuant to Section 227.042, or both".
	(2)  On page 116, strike lines 14-18 and substitute the 
following:           
	"Sec. 202.113.  MANAGEMENT.  If requested by the department, 
property acquired by advance acquisition may be managed by the 
General Land Office on behalf of the department upon such terms and 
conditions as the department and the General Land Office may agree.  
Subchapter E, Chapter 31, Natural Resources Code, do not apply to 
property acquired under this subchapter."
