Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule
11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Finance was
held on Thursday, August 22, 2002, in the Pecos County
Courthouse, Fort Stockton, Texas.

Senator Mike Jackson, the acting Chair, called the meeting to
order at 10:06 a.m. The Chair made opening remarks and
introductions for Members and Elected Officials. The following
business was transacted:

questions and provide oral testimony:

Pecos County.

There being no further business, at 12:34 p.m. Senator Jackson
moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of
