Pursuant to suspension of Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of
the Senate Committee on Administration was held on Friday, May

The Chair called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m. There being
a quorum present, the following business was transacted:
Senator Zaffirini assumed the chair at 6:10 p.m.
The Chair laid out HCR203 and recognized Senator Moncrief, in
the absence of the Senate sponsor, to explain the bill. Senator
Moncrief moved that HCR203 be reported favorably to the Senate
with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The
motion carried with a record vote of 3 ayes, 0 nay, 0 present
not voting, and 2 absent.
The Chair laid out HCR248 and recognized the Senate sponsor,

Senator Moncrief moved adoption of the minutes from the previous
hearing held on May 10, 2001; without objection, it was so
ordered.
There being no further business, at 6:27 p.m. Senator Cain moved
that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the
