         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 5,  
         2001, the House Committee on Urban Affairs, Subcommittee on HB  
         2290, met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the  
         chair, Representative Bailey, at 1:10 p.m.

         Absent:   None (0). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         The chair laid out HB 2290. 
          
         Representative Najera offered a complete committee substitute.  
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Najera moved that HB 2290, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:

         Nays:               None (0).
