         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 9, 2001, the House  
         Committee on Urban Affairs met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the chair, Representative Carter, at 2:04  
         p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         The chair recognized Representative Turner, Sylvester to explain  
         the measure.

         on the measure.  
          
         Representative Bailey moved that HB 630, without amendments, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:

                             Callegari; Edwards; Ehrhardt; Hill; Jones,  
                             Elizabeth; Najera (9).

         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Edwards moved that HB 501, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on  
         Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the
